SOCIAL : the RDH is a tool for making culture accessible to everyone. The RDH intrigues, makes curious those who might be intimidated to walk through the door of a cultural institution. The RDH takes the first step. In the street with its modest size, its transparency, it’s making it accessible to all.

AESTHETICS : the RDH is a mini bubble house that evokes Humpty Dumpty, the character of Lewis Carroll, or the book wheels of the Renaissance. The Rolling Design House is a panoramic shelter, light in appearance that fades away to reveal the objects it exhibits and to disappear into the natural or built environment in which it is temporarily installed.

TARGET CLIENTS : the RDH is suitable for all places, in France and abroad. Targeted customers are museums, media libraries, tourist offices and theaters. The RDH is the result of an order from MAC VAL (Museum of Contemporary Art of Val-de-Marne). It was the winner of the call for projects named "Banc d’essai" at the Saint-Etienne International Design Biennial in 2019, then acquired by the Louvre-Lens in 2020. Current developments aim to improve travel and parking functions to respond to real requests from municipal tourist offices (city of Deauville).

TARGET AUDIENCE : the RDH affects all audiences.
- Regulars of institutions who go to buy their tickets or derivative products, get information, etc.
- Passers-by intrigued and attracted by the design of the RDH encounter the cultural institution for the first time. The meeting is spontaneous, informal, and unpredictable. The RDH was thus tested for a month in the public squares of the city of Saint-Etienne and made it possible to reach residents of the city intimidated by the Design Biennial, who usually rarely come to exhibitions. At the Louvre-Lens, the museum's cultural mediators move the RDH outside and inside the museum according to the seasons. In summer, RDH is like a signal. The mediators welcome passers-by by offering many activities. Visitors are invited to walk the last 25m that separates them from the entrance to the museum.
